About PHP and PDF

I heard that there is possible to make a .pdf from php ? Is it true ?

If it is, can someone tell me some informations ? How I can do this ?

No problem, I was jsut reading from a PHP book I have, and the library you need isnt free... allthough this book is abit old, check it out
 
that library is not free.. thats true.. however there are some free solutions on sourceforge.net : check it out

for instance there is afPDF project (i think its called like that) that projects allows you to create PDF files without installing anything on your server
