Heya guys!
You remember PEAR:

well now you can forget it! You dont need it anymore... or well.. will stop needing it soon.
PHP 5.1 is soon out, as the Beta2 has been released and it introduces the new feature: PDO - PHP Data Objects
You will simply need to load a needed precompiled driver and you are ready to go!
This will have a much better performace and i really start thinking that PEARB is simply dead..
well for me it has been dead for ages as i hate it: its slow!
I think all of you should read a bit more about at at php.net and give it a try!
