how to hide the content of windows?

hi all, what i wanted to do is that,I want to hide the link information to the subsequent pages in the window.For ex:if while putting the mouse on a link:"apple" the window shows:c://files/apple.php .But i wanted to hide it in the window and in the search bar above in the browser.Have any idea?

please try with

window.status = "";

Since the contents of your href attribute will always appear in the window status bar, you can always use the onclick attribute.
