Inserting values with single quotes

I have been trying to insert values with single quotes in mysql.(Eg : Fred's income).
Each time I select this value from the database and display it in a form I have a slash attached to it.

This is how the values is inserted in a database - Women's Issues
This is how it displays in a form - Women\'s Issues

Any ideas?

PHP's striptslashes() function is what you need.
