Newbie Installion Problems (X-Cart)

the problem is that the script doesnt have required permitions. try give it 776 chmod and to other directories. it may even be that its trying to include some files that do not exist: check if you've uploaded everything correctly.

Hello All,

I am trying to install the X-Cart shopping cart program, but when I try to run the file:

http://www.mydomain.co.uk/xcart/install.php

I get the following message:

" Warning: main(./include/install.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /vhost/vhost1/w/e/b/mydomain.co.uk/www/xcart/install.php on line 949

What does this mean, and how can I fix it?

I think your host is using php safe mode On , or openbase dir restrictions , so you cannot go out of
your /home/user folder. or probably your host does not support pear.
