Norse man's table in the bar - A little presentation.

Hi, I'm newly registered here and just joined their forum. I come from Norway, is 50 years old.
How is the frequency of getting answers here? Is it a high number with members and are there programmers of the heavy kind here with good experience? I am going to start a project, and design is something I am better at than the programming itself, I have been a good developer for 10 years in the last half of the 90's and until 2005. After 2010 I did not see a PHP code at all. 18 months ago I sat down again to develop, but everything was gone. As I said, a lot has happened in my life, and programming is not like cycling. And at the age of 50 with both one brain stroke and the one problem after the other it goes slowly. Hope I can get good help here. Feel also free to sit down with me at my table in the bar (my crib) for a good conversation about everything.

Welcome NorseMan,
PHP from 2005 was changed a lot, php 7 and 8 are more targeted as OOP (Object-oriented programming), where the whole logic is splitted to classes, and the autoloader can load the classes when they are needed (without loading all at the beginning).
Each version have better support of working with types, so you have better control about what kind of data you have as variables, parameters.
If you have any question then feel free to ask.
If you want to get quick (re)introduce to the programming with current programming standards the you can check the link in my signature

I followed your link but came just to another site with information about your courses. I am sure you know that.
How do I sign up for one of your courses.

You can send me a private message with information how I can contact with you (any im or email) to schedule an online meeting where we be able to talk about the code
