(php mysqlnd-ms) R/W on master & R on slave

hello

does anyone ever done load balancing with mysqlnd-ms pluggin ?

I been reading that one could do read/write on the master server and read only on the slaves
but queries splitting examples seem to do SELECTS on the slave and INSERTS on the master

Is it possible to do SELECT/INSERTS on the master too...by config, or the only way would be with the user callback in the json setting file ?
