problem to use flat file!!

hello guys..i want to generate certain myqsl SELECT statement which may display all the selected data from database in a textfile. i dont know where to start doing it..can you guys explain to me or show me an example of this kind of scenarios. i really need a reference about this.!!!
 
why do u use text database, isn't it having less flexibility than other database......
i can help u by using a DAT database than text.
 
owh..good to hear that..can u teach me on how to use the DAT file???i know nothing about that.. :(
