Firstly, please use

 tags on the board so your code is easier to read.

Secondly, we can't help you if you don't tell us what the problem is, and "doesn't seem to work" isn't terribly descriptive. What's it doing that you don't want it to do? Are you getting any errors, and if so, what, exactly, do they say?

if your fairly new to PHP, I would suggest scrapping this project and starting with easier programs then a shopping cart. Get the basics down before moving to bigger projects. Another helpful thing to do is review some of the previous posts by people that deal with shopping cart scripts and see if that aids you in any way.

that looks copy and pasted or taken straight from a php/mysql book. i know because i scim over several of them at barnes and noble while i am waiting for my damn vanilla lattes.
