its not ready yet - it's up and running well but i still want to add some features.
i'll post the code when it's finished.
till then - go to
 http://www.phparadise.tk
and have a look.
go through the 'submit-code' process to get an idea.
(you can always delete postings later on)
i'd appreciate feedback or bug-reports...
see you there

Well,
I think it's a good idea to give users a quick and direct page (because it's actually fast), but maybe you'd have to add some colors on it, just because colors help a lot when browsing: you target thing faster.
In black & white it's ok, but looks a bit messy.

Then why are you using that format?
If you could enlarge it a little bit more (keeping the idea of a small and fast page) then you'd have more space to distribute contents. Imagine if you've got more scripts to show... the menu would be just too small.

I think it's a nice idea, but you have to work it out a little bit more.
:D
bye!

someone wrote me a message - but messaging is disabled here.
i never saw the message - i'd like to know whats in there...
probably you can post it here?

to Joan...
of - course - colors would do much better - but important to me was the functionality - it's my first try with PHP & mySQL - the design will follow (if there is any use for a site like that)
it seems that there are some visitors - but no-one posts code there - i don't want to steal code and put it on my site just to fill it up...
well - we'll see...

The best thing about projects is the fact that they never end up :D
I mean... while you can improove it, you will have fun!!!
D'you know what I mean??

Keep up the good job and enjoy yourself
;)

the funny thing is, that if one site is stable and finished, it gets un-interesting.
thats why i made a code-exchange.
even me goes there to quickly look up something.
(my HD is much less organized)
and its a growing thing - so it doesn't get boring.

(joan - you're musician?)

That's true, if you keep it updated all the time with new enrties people will visit you often.
The best thing is having a good stable and updated page and then some projects to keep you up to date :)

Yes, I do some music.... but I haven't much time right now... :?

You can check it here ( me and my partner at ebcn (who is also "the retroit complex") ) -->
http://www.elektronicabcn.com/sello/musicos/musicos.php?id=5
it's quite crazy .... you are warned :D

you're from barcelona - right ?
you're lucky - you got the sonar-festival each year...
i have a friend here, who does 'electronic sound destruction'
if you want to listen -
 http://www.kliklak.net/mp3stream
(i made the stream/jukebox-script [*proud*])
his name is jayrope ...
i personally don't do music (as a child i had to play piano), but i have great respect for people who know how to do it ...

-you got any hint for me how to animate people to submit code ? since i have installed a tracker, i can see hat there are quite a few people visiting http://www.phparadise.tk ...
but no-one seems to have a script to share :?: ...

of course you were right with the " if it grows, you can't continue like that... ".
i changed the code now,
you see the five newest submissions and get the link to a list of all scripts...
we'll see if it helps ...

It looks much better ;)
The menu is very important, and now everything is very easy to find.
I still miss some colors.....
I would recommend a preview of the applications made with FlashMX, it helps a lot.

P.S Sonar rules :D
maybe my project elektronicabcn will have a space in the festival this year.
By now we are going to the OFFF festival http://www.offf.org to show the whole thing.

I just uploaded a FlashMX sample to contribute :)
Just one thing...
It's all just a little bit small :)
It's okay, but too small.

( I'm just giving you a personal point of view ;) )

actually a premiere ...
the FIRST submission by someone i didn't force to ...
:D
and it helped to find a bug...
the code-titles can have blank spaces, the name not - crazy ...
you wrote your name Joan Garnet, and the script gives me a syntax-error, when searching for your name(it does this when you click on the name to view all submissions of one author)

but writing the code title with spaces DO WORK ...

i have to look into this - till then your name is Joan-Garnet
O.K.?

thanks again ...

with small i hope you mean the size of the font - right ?
i'll find something for that ...
i guess it's because i use this 14" iMac screen and everything always seems to be too big ( http://www.rfwilmut.clara.net/about/fonts.html ) ....
