Hi Friends,

I am PHP developer nowadays. I am developing a portal which is going to be multilingual. What should be better for me? using smarty template or simple coding. Please suggest me. About smarty??????

its' upto you.. if you want a system where you change the content often... its a good idea...
I prefer it generally ...
but not for small site with 10-20 pages...
 
My website has more than 9000 registered users and it is multilingual.
Now I am using URL Rewriting also. So please suggest me explicitely what should I do ? Using smarty or not??????

I am reconstructing the portal
 
Smarty is a great product and it has lots of features, but along with that comes lots of complexity and lots of bloat. If you need all of Smarty's features, then I suggest you use it. But if you don't need all of those features, you might want to check out some other templating systems, such as Flexy or FastTemplate.

I have decided that I will learn well and use smarty. If I get the error, you guys are here so I don't worry, do I?
