you can do this without php at all if you want to, by using multiple CSS stylesheets to skin it

eg. http://www.ipoptart.org/

(sorry, know this is a php forum at heart, but CSS is my thing :))
 
Dude :) its doesnt matter that this is a php forum... we have CSS sections as well... this is a web development forum, where we talk about PHP as a dynamic language.

There are also forums like ours but about ASP and so on :)
