Using SVG tags in Mail()

My <SVG> tags are not working properly in my mail script.
Looking for some assistance.
Do I need to make changes to:

$headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0" . "\r\n";
$headers .= "Content-type:text/html;charset=UTF-8" . "\r\n";
