Books for learnign PHP

I have Beginning PHP written by Matt Doyle, I'm not sure there are better book for learining PHP (and also MySQL).
A friend of mine want to buy a book for quick learning basics and essences enough for his new business. He learned PHP, RDB, and other language, but haven't done them in a while, so he want to learn them again.
Any recommendation would be appreciated.
