How do I set these settings to "off" on the php .ini

I am trying to install this contact form script here http://www.fastsecurecontactform.com/ - which looks very good and should be pretty simple bu the contact form doesn't show at all when uploaded....

Anyways, the help.txt file says that I must make sure that the "PHP register_globals and safe_mode MUST be set to "Off"

How can I check this please?

Its ok - i fixed it - i just hadn't saved as .php at end (yes...i am a beginner ;)
