The company is about to kick start an ambitious programme of work to enhance and transform process, technology and culture. We are looking for technical expertise (LAMP/PHP) and technology thought leadership, those embracing new technology practices with the ability to drive innovation.
This is a technical role delivering innovative web and digital solutions through a full lifecycle development process.
Alongside delivering technical excellence you will demonstrate the behaviours and activities of a technology lead & enthusiast; i.e. embracing new and best practice technology; contribution to professional/social networks and the wider tech community; technology R&D and thought leadership on tech & process improvements.
Technical:
• Expert level knowledge of LAMP, PHP & OOP
• Experience developing with MVC Frameworks - Zend, Symfony, Laravel or similar
• Experience with high transactional complex cross-browser applications based on JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, with SASS, CSS3, HTML5.
• PHP Unit testing frameworks - beneficial
• Source/Change control processes including Subversion/Git
• in-depth understanding of design patterns/styles including both modular and object-oriented development
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools including Jenkins and automated build with Maven
• Linux, Apache httpd
Leadership:
• This should encompass not only a drive for technical excellence but also a proven track record of leading colleagues and peers to analyse and challenge existing practices and strive for improvement.
• A proven ability to lead, engage and influence people to enable better ways of working and achieve best practice standards.
• A coach, mentor, trainer and collaborative team player.
You will work with some of the best technical and business professionals in the Germany driving an enterprise programme or work. This will contribute to the evolution and increased capability of one of the Germany´s most recognisable companies.
